Who it is for

Those engaged in the hands-on work of Monozukuri at a manufacturing company, with the aspiration to grow.

This study group is invitation-only. It is aimed at those who are working on — or are about to begin — the practice of MBSE in the development work of manufacturing companies. Program details are provided individually to invited participants.

What is asked of participants

No pain, no gain.

To turn the learning into practical skill, we ask the following of participants:

Action

• Ongoing participation: As a rule, join twice each month, at least one of which must be on-site.
• Work on the assignments: Each session comes with an assignment. Work on it hands-on before the next session and bring your results.
• Answer the survey: Please be sure to respond to the post-session survey. Your feedback helps us make the program better.

Attitude

• Separate the concerns: With each task, stay aware of whether it is about the language (SysML), the tool, the MBSE methodology (SYSMOD), the design, or a combination of these.
• Speak up: Share your questions and observations openly, on the spot. This is not a place to learn alone, but one to learn together and pool insights with peers.
• Mutual trust: This group works because members pool their insights and speak openly. Please value the trust among participants.

The load is not light. But it is precisely by working hands-on and facing the assignments that MBSE takes root as real skill. Please note that if on-site participation is not sustained, membership may be withdrawn.

How it works

MBSE Learning Journey is a program built around turning hands-on work into practical learning. Each session combines a themed input with exercises and discussion using real tools. Participants explore paths to a solution through modeling.

• Input: Of the three pillars that support MBSE — tool, language, and methodology — share the key points of the MBSE methodology in particular.
• Practice: Build models hands-on and iterate through trial and error.
• Discussion: Share results and challenges among participants and exchange perspectives.
