What is Japanese Monozukuri?

Monozukuri (モノづくり) means far more than “manufacturing.” It is Japan’s culture of making things — where a deep pursuit of mastery, relentless refinement (kaizen), and genuine pride in one’s own work come together. It is the mindset that has long defined the strength of Japanese industry.

MBSE Learning Journey exists to carry this spirit into modern engineering — keeping the frontline of Monozukuri strong through a sound, model-based methodology.

The methodology of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) cannot be mastered through lectures alone. You work with real tools, face real challenges, and build understanding through discussion with peers. Held mainly on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, the study group blends on-site and online sessions to provide learning grounded in practice. In this study group, we take a fictional system as our System of Interest and apply the MBSE methodology to it, pursuing learning and research through hands-on practice.

It is an invitation-only study group, hosted by Liberal Logic Inc. and run with the sponsorship of Sparx Systems Japan Co., Ltd.
