MBSE Learning Journey is an opportunity for committed practitioners at private-sector manufacturers to practice and study the practical application of MBSE — essential to sound, reliable Monozukuri — employing an MBSE methodology.

Concept

MBSE Learning Journey is a study group for learning Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) through practice. Rather than passively attending lectures, each participant uses the tools to put what they have learned into practice hands-on, deepening understanding by exchanging questions and ideas with one another.

Why “methodology”?

MBSE rests on three pillars: tool, language, and methodology. Operating a tool and drawing models in a language is only the starting point; what turns those diagrams into real results is the MBSE methodology. Without that foundation, the work stops at drawing diagrams.

Many say they are “doing MBSE,” yet feel they are getting nowhere — because they lack this foundation. This study group exists to help participants acquire the MBSE methodology through practice.

Three goals

1. Spread MBSE across Japan and raise competitiveness. By expanding MBSE adoption in Japan and strengthening the international competitiveness of domestic companies, we reinforce the manufacturing frontline.
2. Build the ability to share and solve challenges together. We cultivate the capacity to share development challenges among participants and solve them together.
3. Turn learning into organizational value. Participants bring acquired knowledge back to their organizations and raise their own value within them.
